Four suspects including 14-year-old ram police vehicle

A 14-year-old boy was one of four suspects that rammed a police car before a police helicopter was used to locate them.

The four males aged 14, 19, 20 and 23 were charged with a number of offences including going equipped for burglary, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, dangerous driving, and failing to stop, report and remain where an accident occurred causing injury.

The incidents happened  in the Lurgan and Banbridge areas on Monday, April 12 and involved a police pursuit which ended with a police vehicle being rammed.

The 14 year old is due to appear at Newry Youth Court on Monday, May 18. The 19 and 23-year-olds are to appear at Armagh Magistrates this morning and the 20 year old at Banbridge MC on Thursday 7th May.
