Fire crews cut man free from van after early morning RTC

A man had to be cut free from his van after a road traffic collision in Lurgan this morning (Monday).

Fire crews from Lurgan station attended the incident, which involved only one vehicle.

It happened on the Derrymore Road after 7am this morning.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a 42-year-old man from the van.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance.

The man’s condition is not known at this time.
