Family plans Tractor Run to aid Hospice

An invitation has been extended to the Hospice Tractor Spectacular which will take place on Saturday, December 28, with all proceeds going to the Southern Area Hospice.

It will be the opportunity for tractor owners and lovers to take part in the Christmas Tractor Run. Hundreds of tractors will take to the roads to complete the tractor run through Benburb, Moy, Armagh, Killylea and Caledon, before returning to the Livingstone Farm to enjoy a barbecue and afternoon’s craic.  Street collections for the Hospice will take place in all towns as the tractors pass through.

The Christmas tractor run  will depart from 14 Wilsontown Road in Armagh at 12 noon on Saturday, December 28, for the Southern Area Hospice.  Members of the public are invited to come along and take part in this fun tractor run; ideally you should have a tractor, but tractor lovers are welcome to see the tractors taking part.  The route is approximately 30 miles and should take three hours to complete.

The Tractor Spectacular as it passes through the towns, the route and approximate times in each town is as follows:

Livingstone Farm, Wilsontown Road – DEPART 12.00; Benburb, Main Street 12.15 – 12.30; Moy Village 12.45 – 1.00; Armagh (Passing along Mall & Armagh City Hotel) 1.30 – 2.00; Killylea Village 2.15 – 2.30; Caledon 2.45 – 3.15; Livingstone Farm, Wilsontown Road 3.30 FINISH.

The Livingstone family ran the inaugural tractor run last year and it proved very successful raising £19,182 a fantastic amount and it is hoped this year will be another successful year, so why not come along and support this event for the Hospice?

Tractor drivers taking part are asked to make a minimum donation of £10 per tractor.  The tractor run is followed by a barbecue, raffle and an afternoon’s craic – all are welcome back to the Livingstone’s Farm, Wilsontown Road from 3.30pm.

A fun day out for all, so why not come along and support your local Hospice.  For further information visit www.facebook.com/events/691318300886725 or www.facebook.com/southernareahospiceservices
