An elderly woman has died after a six-vehicle crash on the M1 between Moira and Lurgan yestersay afternoon.
The crash happened close to Cornakinnegar Bridge around 5.30pm on Friday.
The woman who died was in the back seat of one of the vehicles involved in the crash. A number of other people suffered minor injuries.
There were a number of accidents on the same road – including a lorry which partially crossed the central reservation, blocking both sides of the motorway.
Motorists were delayed for a number of hours.
Inspector Barry Black said: “The M1 motorway has been completely re-opened following a fatal road traffic collision yesterday, Friday, 8 April.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact Police on the non-emergency number 101.”
