At least 100 jobs could be lost at a Dungannon-based firm Viberoptix.
The company – a partner to broadband firm, Fibrus – is based on the Ballynakilly Road, between Tamnamore and Coalisland.
A 90-day consultation period with Viberoptix employees has begun and will last 90 days.
Viberoptix, which was established with a small team of 20 employees, was acquired by Fibrus in 2022 and has partnered with the provider to deliver broadband to over 300,000 homes and premises across Northern Ireland.
Viberoptix chief executive Naomhan McCrory, said: “We have achieved incredible results in a short period of time, and we are very proud of the network we have built.
“The focus of the company in the short term will be to continue with our growth of customer installations, network maintenance and servicing, along with exploring diversification into other sectors and with other partners and clients.
“We are confident that we can pivot into new areas with new clients in the years to come, but in the next weeks and months we will consult closely with our staff about the changing shape of our organisation and we will redeploy where possible.”
