A teenager has been arrested after a man was stabbed in the foot when he tried to break up a fight.
The attack took place in Lisnahull Gardens, Dungannon, yesterday (Wednesday).
The man, aged in his 30s, was attacked in the street around 10pm after he attempted to break up the fight between two men.
Police said he sustained a number of stab wounds to his foot and required hospital treatment.
A 17-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and is currently in police custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
Police are trying to identify the second man involved. He is described as being approximately 5’9” tall and wearing a black hooded top.
