Police have made an arrest following an arson attack in Coalisland on Sunday night, August 30.
It is the second arson attack in less than 48 hours following an incident in the Ballynakilly Road area of the town during the early hours of Saturday morning, however, there is no suggestion at this stage the incidents are linked.
Police say a report was received at around 11.40pm last night of a fire at a property in the Gortgonis Terrace area.
Officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from the NI Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the fire.
There was no one in the property at the time and no injuries were reported.
The fire was deliberately started in a bin and then placed by a shed at the property. Some damage was caused to the shed door, along with smoke damage inside the shed, however, there was no further damage reported.
A 23-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of arson and remains in police custody at this time.
