Two people have been returned for trial in relation to the murder of a seventy-one-year-old man who was discovered with severe injuries.
Adam Krzan was aged 71, was discovered at his home in Corrainey Park, Dungannon on 27 February 2025.
Emergency services attended however he passed away at the scene.
Four people were arrested in the days afterwards however all were released on bail pending further enquiries.
Then on April 3 2025 searches were carried out in the Dungannon area during which a number of items including a vehicle were seized.
Following this, two men were arrested and later charged, appearing separately before Dungannon Magistrates Court.
Although remanded for a time, one was later found to have no involvement at all and charges against were dropped.
The other, Ryan Patrick Martin Kerr (34) from Derrylattinee Road, Dungannon was charged with murder and has been remanded in custody ever since.
He appeared for a committal hearing today (Wednesday) also now joined by a woman, which is the first time she has been linked to the proceedings.
Deena McDonald (29) from Sycamore Green, Dungannon is charged with withholding information namely knowing that a murder had been committed and failing to provide this to police to securing apprehension, prosecution or conviction.
A prosecuting lawyer told Dungannon Magistrates Court there is s case to answer which was agreed by District Judge Francis Rafferty.
The pair spoke only to confirm their identities and that they understood the respective charges.
They declined to call witnesses or give evidence on their own behalf at this stage.
Judge Rafferty remanded Kerr in continuing custody and McDonald on £250 bail to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on October 2026.
When the case first reached court a detective constable explained police received a report of an incident in the victim’s home and, “Met with a very disturbing scene with a large volume of blood.”
A postmortem revealed Mr Krzan was stabbed three times to the chest and twice to the neck.
