Occupant puts out flames after petrol bombs thrown at Co Tyrone house

The occupant of a house in Coalisland had a narrow escape when two petrol bombs were thrown at it yesterday (Thursday).

Police said the occupant managed to extinguish the flames.

The attack, at the rear of the house, happened shortly before 10.15pm in the Station Yard area of the town.

A rear window was also broken.

Appealing for information, Sergeant McDonald said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, and we would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity, or have any information which could assist, to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1910 07/04/22.”
