Police in Mid Ulster have forced drug dealers to “pack their bags” after seizing 16 kilos of cannabis.
A police spokesperson said the District Support Team have “delivered again for local communities in Mid Ulster” when making the announcement that officers seized 16 kilos of cannabis, worth an estimated street value of £240,000.
“It’s one of the most significant finds by our officers in 2026,” they continued. “The find follows intelligence shared by our law enforcement partners in Border Force.
“Police acted quickly and commenced a premises search under warrant. One woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and remains in police custody at this time.
“This is the latest result in a sustained run of successful operations against drug supply across Mid Ulster. Every positive search result demonstrates our district’s commitment to reducing the harm caused by drugs here.
“Our officers retain the capability to identify and target those operating at the highest levels of the drug supply chain in Mid Ulster. Targeting drug supply remains our district’s priority and results like this one show this commitment translating directly into outcomes for the people who live here.”
