Daughter hits out as ‘scumbag’ vandalises parents’ car as they enjoy a walk at local beauty spot

She wants to warn others to be careful and remain vigilant

Brantry Lough vandals

Vandals who targeted a couple’s car at a popular local beauty spot have been branded “scumbags”.

The incident happened at Brantry Lough on Wednesday evening.

And now the owners’ daughter has warned others to be careful and remain vigilant.

She has also asked that anyone who saw what happened to her mum and dad’s car – which was discovered at around 8pm – to contact the PSNI and report it.

Sarah Jane Robinson told Armagh I : “Mum and dad went for their regular walk around the Brantry Lough.

“But when they got back to their car, they saw that the driver side door of their car had been vandalised, either by a key or a stone.

“There were two other vehicles there but by the time my parents finished their walk, one vehicle was gone and the other people didn’t see what happened.”

Sarah Jane – who wants to “make people aware” in order to be vigilant after what happebed her father’s car – said it was a “sad day that you cannot go for a walk with your wife without a scumbag damaging your property”.

If anyone has any information, they can contact the PSNI on the non-emergency number 101.
