Description issued of man after sex attack on woman in her home

A woman in her 40s was sexually assaulted in her own home by a man who offered to help fix her boiler.

Police have issued a description of the attacker and have appealed for help from the public.

Constable Andrew Leeman explained: “On Friday, 14 November, around 2.30pm, a man called to a house and claimed to know the female occupant.

“The man offered to repair a boiler and was admitted entry to the house. He sexually assaulted the 41 year old before she pushed him out of the house.

“The man is described as being around 50 years old, approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with dark hair. He spoke with a Newry accent and drove a white and blue Volkswagen Caddy van.

“Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 703141114.”
