A completely refurbished children’s play park was officially opened in Magheralin last Tuesday.
The work on the play park was part of the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s £4.75m Play Strategy.
DUP MLA Carla Lockhart welcomed the new facilities, commenting that it was a much needed upgrade for the area.
“In this upgraded area there is plenty for children of all ages and a much needed play facilities for disabled children,” she added.
“The DUP have lobbied hard on the need for upgraded facilities across the Upper Bann area and with a new strategy in place by ABC Council these are well underway.”
She continued: “I know how eagerly it was anticipated and no one will be disappointed once they visit it. Well done to the council and the local community for their persistence and patience.”
