St Joseph’s High School Crossmaglen’s annual A Level Prize Giving Ceremony took place on Thursday, September 5.

Amongst the prize-winners was Student of the Year, Ciara Hoey, who achieved three A* Grades. An outstanding 82.5% of pupils achieved 3A*-C.

Mrs Millar said that Prize Giving is a fantastic celebration of the student’s hard work and a way for parents and staff to join in the success of the students.

Mrs Millar was delighted to announce that the school is now full to capacity, in fact oversubscribed, with 830 students, and the biggest ever sixth form enrolment to date.

She acknowledged that it was a great feeling that the South Armagh Community realises what a fantastic education their young people receive at St Joseph’s on their doorsteps and “we now have the building to match the outstanding learning and teaching that goes on within our school”.

On behalf of the staff and governors, Mrs Millar wished the students every success in their future careers and stated that though it is bittersweet to say goodbye to another fantastic year group all connected with St Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen.
