Two men accused of rioting in Portadown are further remanded in custody

One of the men is also accused of assaulting one police officer and resisting another

TWO men accused of rioting in Portadown have been further remanded in custody.

Laurence Paul Creaney (37), of Woodside Green in the town, is charged with rioting on June 12 this year.

He is also charged with assaulting a police officer; resisting another officer; and possession of zopiclone, a Class C drug, on June 12.

His case was adjourned to September 5.

Ryan Pepper (32) of Westland Road, Portadown, is accused of riotous assembly in the town on June 12.

The cases were mentioned at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday and were adjourned to September 5.
