Two masked men break into Co Armagh home and stab man in face

Two masked men have broken into a house in county Armagh and stabbed a man in the face.

Detectives are appealing for information following the report of a serious assault on a male in the Parkmore area of Craigavon in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

It is believed this assault occurred around 5am when two masked men forced entry to a property and attacked the occupant, causing stab wounds and injuries to his face and body.

The man was then taken to hospital, for treatment to his injuries, where he remains.

His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Stephen Harvey said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this assault or may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 122 28/02/17.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
