Sixteen deaths at Craigavon Area Hospital since Covid-19 pandemic began, Stormont told

Four more deaths across Northern Ireland since yesterday

Sixteen people have died from COVID-19 at Craigavon Area Hospital since the start of the pandemic.

The figures were revealed to the Stormont Health Committee by Southern Health Trust chief executive Shane Devlin.

At the same time, 57 patients are being treated for coronavirus and nine of them are in the intensive care unit.

Results are being awaited in 33 other suspected cases.

The information was revealed today as an update was provided on the Northern Ireland wide statistics.

There have been four more deaths of patients in Northern Ireland as a result of COVID-19.

And there have been 138 more confirmed cases.

These are the latest figures made available on Thursday by the Public Health Agency.

There have now been a total of 1477 confirmed cases in Northern Ireland.

And 78 eople have sadly died.

There have been seven more confirmed cases in the ABC Council area in the past 24 hours.

To date, 142 people have tested positive in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area, while there has been 92 in the Newry, Mourne and Down area.
