Residents have been evacuated from their homes as a result of a security alert in Craigavon this evening (Monday).
Emergency services have been despatched to the scene in the Pinebank area which has resulted in the displacement of some residents.
Brownlow Hub and Eire Og GAA club have been opened to serve as a refuge centre for those affected.
An Eire Og spokesperson said: “Due to an ongoing incident in Pinebank this evening, the Social Club will remain open to residents who wish to avail of our facilities. Tea and coffee will be provided.”
A Sinn Féin spokesperson added: “Cllr Jude Mallon has been on the ground, liaising with both the local community and the PSNI.”
There is a large police presence in the area, which is to be avoided this evening.
