A Craigavon man who assaulted his wife has been sentenced to a month in jail.
Anthony Joseph Hughes, (61), of Hillcrest Mews, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday via video link from prison.
He pleaded guilty to the incident which happened on July 16 this year.
The defendant, the court heard, had a record, and there were “tragic family circumstances”.
