Police are investigating after a crowd of around 30 people gathered outside a house in Craigavon and threw eggs at the property.
Officers were called to the Parkmore area at approximately 6.50pm yesterday evening (Thursday), March 5.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police attended a report of a protest in the Parkmore area of Craigavon at approximately 6.50pm yesterday evening, Thursday, March 5.
“It was reported that a large crowd of up to 30 people had gathered outside a house and were throwing eggs at the property.
“Officers attended and a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and common assault. He has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with footage that could assist with enquiries is asked to contact police.”
It is understood the crowd had gathered amid claims of a suspected sex offender in the area.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
