Getactiveabc launches exciting new booking app ahead of safe reopening of indoor leisure centres

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s leisure centres and community centre gyms are opening their doors to the public once again for individual gym and individual swim sessions from today, Friday.

In preparation, getactiveabc has launched the new ‘getactiveabc’ leisure booking fitness app to help users quickly and easily book their gym/swim session or class activity and much more!

The ‘getactiveabc’ app can be downloaded from the Google Play or App Store. It is cleverly designed to manage all user fitness needs on mobile devices with a few simple clicks.

Not only can customers make bookings for gym, swim, classes and activities, but they can also manage their account with ease, keep up to date with all the council’s latest leisure news and information, plus scan their virtual membership card.

The council recently invested over £2.5million in state-of-the-art equipment at its leisure and community centres borough-wide, adding interactive life fitness equipment with screens, and a range of cardiovascular and functional equipment including cross trainers, bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, free weights and new functional rigs.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Kevin Savage, comments: “We are delighted to launch this innovative leisure booking tool to help our users and members on their fitness journey.

“The past year has been a difficult time for everyone, so we wanted to invest in making our customers feel as engaged as possible with us, as they start back on their fitness journeys. We want to encourage as many people as possible to stay active and using this app will enable users to get the most from their membership. With its many great features, users will be able to manage their leisure and fitness plans from the palm of their hand and stay connected with our getactiveabc team for fitness inspiration and motivation.”

There are also a number of fantastic membership deals at all Council owned leisure/community centre gyms at present including – no joining fee, no contract, a freeze option on membership and use of all centres borough-wide.
