A burst of colour and celebration will light up Craigavon Lakes later this month as Deputy Lord Mayor of ABC Council, Jessica Johnston, hosts the Pride at the Lakes Colour Run.
The family-friendly event takes place on Sunday, August 31, from 3pm to 4.30pm, with participants invited to walk, run or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Organised in partnership with Healthy Kidz, the afternoon will also feature inflatables to keep younger visitors entertained.
Speaking ahead of the event, Councillor Johnston said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to host Pride at the Lakes Colour Run and to show support to our local LGBTQIA+ community. It’s guaranteed to be a fun and lively event, filled with positivity and celebration. Let’s make it a memorable event full of joy, unity, and pride!”
Tickets are priced at £5 per person, with under-fives going free. All proceeds and donations raised will go towards The Rainbow Project, a charity established in 1994 that works to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ people and their families in Northern Ireland.
