Craigavon Court

A Co Armagh man who breached a non-molestation order against his ex-wife has been handed a suspended prison sentence.

Michael Anthony Gough, of Drumgor Park in Craigavon, has been warned that any further breaches will likely see him end up behind bars.

The 40-year-old appeared before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order on June 4, this year.

The court heard the breach was aggravated by reason involving domestic abuse.

District Judge Bernie Kelly handed Gough a prison sentence of two months but suspended it for a period of two years.

He was also slapped with a restraining order which will run until November 1, 2025.

The restraining order will prevent him from contacting the complainant during that period or face the activation of his suspended prison sentence.
