Homeowner left terrified after three men pull phone from wall and ransack Craigavon house

A homeowner was left terrified after three men broke in, ripped the phone of the wall, and ransacked the property on Monday night.

Detectives are appealing for information following the burglary at the house in the Charleston Village area of Craigavon.

Detective Sergeant Dave Stewart said: “At around 9.30pm last night (Monday), it was reported that three men gained access to a property.

“They pulled the phone out of the wall and one man ordered the resident to stay in the living room, while the others ransacked the house.  The intruders stole a sum of money.

“No one was injured during the incident.

“We would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 111 06/02/21.”

Upper Bann DUP MP described it as “a terrible ordeal for the resident of the house”.

“The police are doing what they can in the current climate and rural patrols are a vital part of policing – we need to see more if possible,” she added.
