Co Armagh toddler rushed to hospital after being struck by car

A three-year-old child was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car earlier today.

The toddler was hit by the vehicle in Willow Field Crescent, in the Moyraverty area of Craigavon shortly after 1pm.

An ambulance spokesman said: “The NI Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 13.19 on Thursday 25 July 2019 relating to a road traffic collision at Willow Field Crescent, Craigavon.

“NIAS despatched two Emergency crews to the scene.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was transferred to the Craigavon Area Hospital,” the spokesman said.

It is understood the child was not seriously injured and has since been discharged from hospital.

A PSNI spokesperson said they are making enquiries into the incident.
