An army bomb disposal vehicle caught fire on the M1 while on its way to a security alert.
The M1 was closed off in both directions this morning (Tuesday) following the fire between junctions 14 at Tamnamore and 15 Stangmore.
There were huge delays, however, the road has since re-opened.
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson confirmed the vehicle was on its way to a security alert when the incident happened.
That alert has seen PSNI tasked to a scene in Co Fermanagh following the report of a suspicious object.
An area between Garrison and Belcoo has been cordoned off following reports a suspect device.
Cashel Road has been closed from its junction with Lattone Road and the border.
