Bin collections continue to be impacted across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area following the holidays.

In a recent service update published on Monday (January 5), the Council explained that the “ongoing adverse weather conditions” continue to “significantly” impact services.

Some routine collections were rescheduled in December to allow for the Christmas holidays and since then have been hampered by the inclement weather.

As such, a rescheduled collection for January 3 (instead of New Year’s Day) did not proceed as planned.

And, today (Monday January 5) there have been yet further disruptions to the service.

The Council said: “We will endeavour to collect bins at the earliest opportunity and residents are asked to continue to leave their bins out for collection.”

Alongside this, the opening of the Household Recycling Centres in the Craigavon and Armagh areas was also delayed this morning. However, Recycling Centres in the Banbridge area did open as normal.

Information on recycling bin collections can be found via the ABC Council App here.
