Co Armagh care provider launch recruitment drive to ease winter pressures

A family run Co Armagh care provider is preparing for a huge recruitment drive in order to meet the increased demands on the Southern Trust as we enter the winter months.

Providing domiciliary care since 1994, Ann’s was established by its current owners Pat and Ann McQuade.

The company, which is the largest provider of domiciliary care in the Southern Trust region, is seeking caring and motivated individuals to provide care within their own communities.

Ann’s also enjoys the highest staff retention rates across the healthcare industry.

All staff will receive a comprehensive induction programme which exceeds mandatory training requirements and the existence of their in-house training team allows the company to adapt to varying facility training requirements with ease.

Speaking ahead of a recruitment drive,  Managing Director Ann McQuade said: “As we approach the winter months and the mounting pressures faced by hospitals our aim is to recruit new teams of staff to pick up the backlog of unmet home care packages.

“There is no doubt of the impact of bed blocking on our already burdened healthcare system. Bed blocking undoubtedly has a knock-on effect on hospital waiting lists and on elective and emergency surgery. Ann’s are eager to work in partnership with all Health Trusts to provide much needed solutions to this acute problem.”

Ann’s are holding recruitment days in the following locations:

Banbridge: Monday, October 25 at Belmont Hotel 10:30-13:30.

Lurgan: Thursday, October 28 at Ashburn Hotel 10:30-13:30

Armagh: – Friday, October 29 at Armagh City Hotel 10:30-13:30

Benefits offered by the company include; flexible working hours and shift patterns, dedicated and competent management team, job satisfaction, competitive hourly wage, £100 joining bonus and fortnightly pay.

They also give professional training and qualifications, induction training, free access check, training and uniform, along with full PPE, provided in line with the Trust guidelines.
