City centre thefts prompt police to advise shopper vigilance

Customers visiting shops in Armagh are being targeted by thieves, according to the PSNI.

Police say they have been made aware of a number of theft in the city centre over these past days.

They are warning people to be alert.

“These thefts are taking place in shops and shop customers are having items taken, as well as staff members having items taken too,” say police.

“Please be vigilant when entering shops in the city centre, keep a close eye on your belongings, and call us on 101 if you notice anything suspicious.”
