AN entry of 530 cattle at Markethill returned a steady demand in all rings on Tuesday, April 9.

Cull cows sold to £187.50 for 640k at £1200.  Main demand from £130 to £159 for 750k at £1190.  Friesian cows to £130 for 610k at £795 and up to £940 for 770k at £940.  Main demand from £115 to £127 per 100 kilos.  Second quality friesians from £95 to £110 per 100 kilos and the poorest types from £75 to £90 per 100 kilos.  Clean cattle to £187 for 660k at £1235.  Friesians to £154 for 670k at £1030.
