Cat found on M1 is now on the mend

A cat found cowering on the central reservation of the M1 at Lurgan last week is on the mend – and looking for a new home!

The owners of the cat, discovered last Wednesday by a passing motorist, did not come forward.

And so he is now off to the Cats Protection Armagh branch to be cared for until a new home can be found.

He had been taken to the Willow Veterinary Clinic in Portadown after being discovered.

But despite appeals there has been no success to date.cat injured

Fortunately, according to PSNI Road Policing, he is recovering from his ordeal.

They took to Facebook to update those whose interest had been piqued by the original appeals.

They say: “Remember this wee rascal from the M1 motorway at Lurgan recently?

“Well he is doing fine, only needing a stitch or two on his lip.

“He is being taken into the care of Armagh Cat Protection who will try and get him a home. We wish him the best of luck. Stay safe little friend!”

Now to hope he gets the home he deserves…
