Councillor Daire Hughes has condemned what he described as “a very deliberate criminal act of vandalism” carried out on the Friends Meeting House in near Bessbrook.
Commenting after he visited the scene the Sinn Féin representative said: “This deliberate act of vandalism on the Friends Meeting House here in Derramore Woods is not only an attack on the Quakers and those who meet here at the Friends Meeting House but on the entire community. I share the anger of the local Community and hopefully those engaged in this mindless act will be apprehended.”
