Resident threatened as two masked men ransack Bessbrook home

A resident was threatened as two masked men ransacked a Bessbrook home on Friday evening.

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a burglary in the Green Road area of the village.

Detective Sergeant Dougherty said: “Shortly after 9pm it was reported that two masked men armed with sticks had gained access to a property on Green Road.

“They threatened the resident and ransacked the house before making off with a sum of money and medication.

“This was understandably a terrifying incident for the victim and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspicious in the area or anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1704 03/11/23.”
