Firefighters are still dealing with a large-scale fire at an industrial park in Bessbrook more than 12 hours after it broke out.
Fire crews were alerted to the inferno at the Loughbrook Industrial Estate on the Camlough Road shortly before 12.30am on Thursday morning.
There are currently 32 Firefighters, five fire appliances, a command support unit, an aerial appliance and water tanker in attendance at the incident.
The incident has been scaled back however firefighting operations are likely to continue for the duration of the day.
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) spokesperson said: “The fire has caused significant damage to several of the industrial units however, firefighters have worked hard overnight to prevent the fire from spreading to other units within the complex.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.
“At the height of the incident over 60 Firefighters were involved in the operational response with Appliances attending from neighbouring Fire Stations and from across Northern Ireland.”
