This is the moment a speeding driver crashed into an elderly pensioner on a rural back road in Banbridge before carrying on their journey.
The damage caused to the car, which was travelling along the Kiln Road, was significant.
Fortunately the 75-year-old driver did not suffer any major injuries but was left shaken by the collision.
A police spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a hit and run road traffic collision on Kiln Lane, Banbridge on Thursday evening.
“It was reported just before 5.30pm that a vehicle had been hit by another vehicle. One man is reported to have suffered a minor head injury.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
