Three 14-year-old girls have been arrested in connection with an assault on another teenage girl in the Solitude area of Banbridge on Saturday 6 June.
The victim, who is also 14, was set upon by a group of girls close to the bridge and sustained a number of injuries including a broken nose, a black eye, an ear injury, and bruising to her face and body, as well has having hair pulled out.
She is receiving treatment for these injuries.
The arrested suspects remain in police custody this afternoon.
