A number of “significant” roadworks in Banbridge could lead to some disruption in the coming weeks.
As a result of the closures and diversions, the public are being asked to be mindful of the roadworks and plan their journeys accordingly.
There are four separate total road closures and one partial closure of a main road throughout the course of April.
The first is an overnight closure beginning on April 17, from 9pm, until April 18, at 6am. It affects the A1 Southbound, Banbridge between the Dromore Road junction and Newry Road junction.
On Saturday, April 18, at 6am the A1 Southbound at Banbridge will close between the Newry Road off slip and the Newry Road on slip (Boulevard junction) until Monday, April 20 at 6am.
Another overnight only closure will once again impact the A1 Southbound, between the Dromore Road junction and Newry Road junction, from April 20 at 9pm until April 29 at 6am. The road will remain open during the day, closing each evening between 9pm and 6am.
From Monday, April 20 at 9pm to Wednesday, April 29 at 6am, the A1 Southbound at Rathfriland Road on slip will also be subject to a total closure. There will, however, be access to the Park & Ride facility and for local residents at this location.
In terms of partial closure, the A1 southbound dual carriageway will be reduced to a single lane from 6am to 9pm from April 21 to 28.
The single lane reduction will be in place between the Old Manse Road junction and Newry Road junction at the Boulevard.
Local diversions will be in place.
Details of all closures can be found on the Traffic Watch NI website.
