“[The body] has been identified and police are contacting family members. Thoughts and prayers with the family.”

Upper Bann MLA Carla Lockhart added: “My thoughts are very much with the family of the deceased.

“This is very sad news today coming from the local community regarding the recovery of a body in the River Bann near Lenaderg.

“I have spoken with the PSNI and they have a clear line of inquiry.

“It is important to give the family time and space to mourn their loss and would ask for their privacy to be respected.”
