Police arrest man following petrol bomb attack on house

Police have arrested a man following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Golf Terrace, Banbridge.

On Saturday evening, 16 January, two petrol bombs were thrown at the rear of a house around 7.30pm and 10.30pm.

Both fires were extinguished however scorch damage was caused to the rear of the house.

A 20 year old man was arrested a short time later in the local area on suspicion of arson. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who  has information which may assist their investigation. They can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 1129 160116.
