Massive £16m housing boost for borough with new ‘Edenbrook’ development plans

235 properties earmarked for site near rugby club

Plans for a massive housing development – at a cost close £16 million – are currently being considered for Banbridge.

The development – which would consist of a total of 235 properties – is close to Banbridge Rugby Club’s Rifle Park ground.

An application for the work, in the name of ES Banbridge Limited, has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

The development has been proposed on an expansive area of farm land.

Pre-application discussions have already taken place prior to the proposals being lodged.

The scheme would include both detached and semi-detached homes, as well as apartments and townhouses.

Landscaping and new access roadways are included.

The development, if approved, would be known as Edenbrook.
