
A man’s body has been recovered from the River Lagan in Dromore.
Emergency services were called to the scene, off the Banbridge Road, around 7.30am on Monday morning following reports of an unresponsive male in the water.
Despite efforts of emergency responders the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police can confirm that a body has been recovered from the River Lagan in the Banbridge Road area of Dromore this morning.
“A post mortem will take place in due course, however at this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
