Banbridge Urban Sports Facility in Solitude Park has proven to be a huge success since officially opening in May.

And now Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council are offering free urban sports coaching classes.

These will be given on Friday, June 8, from 6pm to 9pm.

Under the expert guidance of urban sports coaching facilitators Thunder Action Sports, young people aged six and over can get to grips with introductory classes in BMX, skateboarding, stunt scootering and parkour.

The taster sessions, which will be held at the amphitheatre in Solitude Park, will allow those new to urban sports to experience the excitement of this dynamic activity, whilst those with some experience will be able to develop new skills and improve balance and control.

All participants will learn about the importance of staying safe, caring for your equipment and park etiquette.

All equipment is provided but participants should wear suitable clothing and footware for physical activity.

Booking is not required – simply come along and be prepared to have some serious high energy fun!
