Four men charged after alleged attempts to use false financial details at retail park

Four men have been charged with attempted fraud by false representation and possession of articles in use in frauds.

The charges relate to an incident in which an attempt was made to use what police believe may be false financial details at a retail park in Banbridge on Tuesday.

The four men, three aged 19-years-old and one man aged 22 years old, are due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court via videolink today.

On Wednesday, PSNI reported how four suspects made off in a Vauxhall Astra before a police ANPR Interceptor team was dispatched to assist local crews in locating it.

The car was stopped by the Interceptor team on Armagh Road, Newry.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
