A Banbridge-based restaurant has been forced to close for the day after one of its catering vans was set on fire.
Safari Steakhouse, on Newry Street, is an award-winning local business and the attack last night (Sunday) has been a setback for the owners.
Posting on social media, Safari said: “As a result, we’ll be closed today while we arrange recovery of the vehicle and safely remove any catering equipment inside.
“We’re really sorry for the short notice and any inconvenience this causes.”
Confirming plans to reopen at 8.30am tomorrow (Tuesday), Safari, in a message to customers, added: “Thank-you for your understanding and support — it’s very much appreciated.”
