A MAN has been arrested following a burglary in Craigavon.
Brownlow Neighbourhood Policing Team and CID officers arrested a 20-year-old male following the burglary of a flat in the Garrymore area of Moyraverty.
At 2.33pm on Thursday, July 18, police received a report of the theft of a copper cylinder and kitchen sink.
Officers attended and conducted a search of a nearby flat.
A number of items were recovered and sent for further examination and a 20-year-old male was arrested for burglary and possession of criminal property.
The man was further arrested in relation to the theft of a hi-fi system and X-box from a local youth centre.
He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Alwyn Peters, Brownlow NPT, said: “Thanks to support from the local community and partnership work with our colleagues in CID we were able to act swiftly and recover some of the stolen property.
“We were also able to make an arrest in relation to the original report of theft and another incident which had occurred earlier in the month.
“This shows how effective we can be when we receive timely information from the public.”
