Armagh Post Office to relocate to Emersons later this month

The new post office at Emersons supermarket in Armagh city centre will open on November 20 at 1pm.

The announcement comes on the same day the Uluru restaurant premises, currently based in the shadow of the Church of Ireland cathedral on market Street, is advertised for rent.

As part of Emerson’s £2million expansion plans, Australian restaurant Uluru will make the short journey to relocate, to the newly refurbished building – formerly Walkers.

And with it, the Post Office, will move from its current base in the Armagh City Shopping Centre on Thomas Street.

The Post Office will have four serving positions, a mixture of screened and open plan, with the aim being to modernise the network and extend hours.

The full range of services offered would be available during the normal opening hours of Emersons Supermarket.

This would be 8am to 8pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday; 8am to 9pm on Thursday and Friday; and 1pm to 6pm on Sunday.

The present Armagh Post Office will close at 5:30pm on Wednesday, November 19.
