A teenage girl has been hit by a car on the Monaghan Road outside Armagh city, according to reports.
The has been closed at its junctions with Ungola Road and Baltarran Road due to what police describe as a “serious RTC”.
A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said a young girl was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital. She remains in a critical condition.
PSNI are advising motorists to seek alternative routes.
It is expected the road will be closed for a number of hours yet.
There are no further details on the accident at present.
