The kindness of a child and his beautiful gesture to police officers at crime scene

Daniel brought tins of Coke and biscuits for hungry and thirsty officers

Sometimes kindness comes when least expected.

And it takes a child to show us all that is good.

That was the experience today for Armagh police officers attending the scene of a serious assault.

While keeping the scene secure for evidential purposes, the officers received a very welcome surprise from a little boy.

Waiting for long periods of time, police often become hungry and thirsty and have to remain in place.

And according to the PSNI in Armagh, they shared on social media details of an experience which would bring a smile and an ‘aw bless’ from anyone!

They posted: “Today just when we started to get hungry and thirsty we had a visit from wee Daniel who had spotted us sitting outside when he got home from school. A few hours later he said to his mummy ‘they’ve been there for a long time. They must be hungry!’

Daniel then kindly brought us two tins of Coke and a wee packet of biscuits each! What a LEGEND

“We don’t always see the greatest side of the community but today was the BEST!”

And directly voicing gratitude to the thoughtful little boy, they added: “Daniel we want to say thank you again. Your mum says you love police toys and love seeing us out and about so hopefully you’ll be able to come down to the station over the next few weeks for a tour and get to sit up in a police car!”
