Suspect vehicle calling at properties is NOT NI Water, police warn

NI Water have confirmed it is not them operating in area

Police have warned of a suspect vehicle calling at properties in the Middletown area this morning (Thursday).

There have been several reports of a man calling at houses purporting to be an employee of NI Water.

However, police have responded and confirmed that this is a suspicious vehicle.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Reports of a male in a van claiming to be from NI Water calling at properties in the area of Middletown.

“NI Water confirm this is not them. Any sightings please call 101 Ref 340 07/12/17.”

In a separate incident, a White Toyota van, with a partial reg: 11-D-90xx has been spotted operating in the Willowfield area of Tandragee, turning left towards the town.

Police suspect this may be a rogue trader and have asked anyone who has seen this van to contact them on 101 immediately, citing the incident number 656 of today.

There have been a number of burglaries in the area recently, both at homes and farms.

Police have urged residents to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to them as soon as possible.

Please help and share this appeal.
