Singer Cliona Hagan to headline summer gig in memory of Lesley-Ann McCarragher

Lesley-Ann died after being struck by a vehicle on the Monaghan Road last April

Country singer Cliona Hagan will headline a charity fundraiser in memory of Armagh girl Lesley-Ann McCarragher this summer.

The event, in aid of the Air Ambulance NI, will take place at the City of Armagh Rugby Club Grounds on July 21.

Tickets will be released soon but the family are on the look-out for sponsors so please get involved if you can.

There will also be an auction on the night with items to be confirmed.

Lesley-Ann died after being struck by a vehicle on the Monaghan Road last April.

The 19-year-old had been jogging along the hard shoulder when the tragedy happened.

Julie McCarragher, Lesley-Ann’s aunt, speaking to Armagh I, said: “We are doing this in memory of our beloved daughter, sister, niece and cousin Lesley-Ann.

“The support of everyone in the community has been so good, everyone has been so considerate over the past year!”

Cliona Hagan is also a fantastic coup for the event, with the county Tyrone woman having blasting onto the Irish country music scene in the last year.

She already has a packed schedule but to find out more about here, check out her website here.
